The Meaning Behind “611”
The name “611” carries deep roots and a personal history. It’s inspired by the Norfolk & Western Class J 611 steam engine — a masterpiece of engineering and elegance built in my hometown of Roanoke, Virginia. As a kid, I used to climb up and play on that legendary locomotive, long before I understood what it truly represented.
That engine wasn’t just powerful — it was iconic. Built with precision, pride, and artistry, the 611 symbolized the golden era of American craftsmanship. When it came time to name this lounge, it only felt right to honor that same spirit: timeless quality, connection, and the joy of motion — not the rush, but the journey.
